  • experiment with various search strategies in Worldcat, periodical databases, and online search engines
  • verbalize the differences in usefulness between various search strategies
  • locate 3-4 academic sources in preparation for the first essay assignment
  • understand the usefulness of deep web databases (both free and subscription-based)
  • determine the most appropriate websites that should be used for college-level research projects
