Mendeley vs. Zotero

Fraser Hall Library recommends two free citation managers, Mendeley and Zotero.

Both Zotero and Mendeley help you collect, organize and cite your research. Which tool is best for you depends on how you do your work.

Zotero is best for grabbing citations from the web (including library databases), but must be used with Firefox, Chrome or Safari. Zotero also has some functionality that allow you to use it with Google Docs.

Mendeley is best for handling PDF files and organizing them on your computer.
