- ArcGISA program designed to create and manipulate Visual Geographic Data. From this link, you'll find instructions on accessing the Geneseo Virtual Computer lab.
ArcGIS can also be found on any public desktop computer on campus. To access ArcGIS, simply click on the start button and find ArcGIS on the list of programs. - Introduction to GIS Using ArcGISA tutorial created by the University of Maryland that provides the basics.

- ArcLessonsArcLessons is a resource for you to share lessons for using GIS in the classroom. You can browse a list of lessons by category or use the search tools to find lessons in your area of interest. You also can contribute your Lessons or LessonPaks to ArcLessons for other educators to use.
- MICRODEMMICRODEM is a freeware microcomputer mapping program written by Professor Peter Guth, who retired from the Oceanography Department of the U.S. Naval Academy.
- Google EarthThe grand daddy of all map sites. Enter an address or place name and zoom around the world. Overlays for businesses, terrains, special features, etc. You must download software to use Google Earth.
- World WindWorld Wind is a free, open source API for a virtual globe. Written in Java so as to be cross-platform and easy-to-use, World Wind allows developers to quickly and easily create interactive visualizations of 3D globe, map and geographical information.
