Photos of Books on shelves authored by SUNY Geneseo faculty, staff, students, and community members

For decades, the Library has maintained a collection of faculty book publications in the Geneseo Authors Hall which is part of the College Archives. A digital representation of the collection is available here. The Library annually solicits information about faculty works and then purchases a copy of books authored or edited by our faculty for addition into the Geneseo Authors Hall.

With the opening of the renovated Milne Library building, the Library is launching a new, circulating collection of faculty book publications.

The scope of this new collection remains the same as its archival counterpart, however, these copies are located in the public space near the Service Desk and can be borrowed, placed on reserve, and loaned through Interlibrary Loan in the same way as all books in the General Collection.

The collection is currently growing and is not yet complete. If your book or a book of a colleague is not on the shelf, it may be missing because it’s currently checked out or on reserve. The book may also be on order or pending ordering. When in doubt, please submit information about the book using this online form so we can be sure to have all faculty book publications represented.
