Designing video tutorials is an involved process. It's important to develop a foundational philosophy behind this type of project. Based on the Penfield Librarians' collective experience creating videos over the years, here are some key concepts in that we believe support video design.
This process of creating videos follows an iterative design: once a video is created, then it should be continually evaluated and revised. One model, illustrated here, is ADDIE. This instructional design model breaks down the components of iterative design process.
