HIST 270 Debate Groups

Below are some links that might be helpful to each group as you prepare for your debate. Some of these links go to books you will have to request from other libraries, while others (the ones with call numbers) are books in our collection here at Milne. Some of the links go to web pages; take a close look at these and try to determine if they are authentic. Finally, keep in mind that some of these materials are not primary sources themselves, but they might lead to primary sources listed in bibliographies or have excerpts of primary sources in the texts.

Some books that every group might find useful:

In Defense of the Indians, Bartolome de Las Casas, on RESERVE at Milne Library.

Broken Spears: the Aztec Account of the Conquest, call number F1230 .L383

The Conquistadors: First Person Accounts of the Conquest of Mexico, call number F1230 .F9
