Unlimited Access to Articles from the New York Times

Milne Library currently subscribes to the New York Times which grants members of the College community access to New York Times articles from the present day back to 1851.

Current faculty, staff, and students can sign up for an academic pass following the instructions located below. Once signed up for a pass, users can access unlimited articles from the New York Times website (www.nytimes.com).

Please note:

  • The academic pass requires a geneseo.edu email account.
  • The academic pass will have to be renewed every 364 days.
  • If you have an existing subscription with the New York Times using your Geneseo email address, you will need to assign a different email address to your individual subscription in order to sign up for an academic pass.

ON-Campus Instructions to Sign Up for an Academic Pass

  1. Visit http://accessnyt.com/
  2. Search for and select SUNY Geneseo
  3. Click the link to indicate you are on-campus “On campus click here”
  4. Click the Create Account button
  5. Enter your geneseo.edu email address and a password, and uncheck the box to receive updates and offers

OFF-Campus Instructions to Sign Up for an Academic Pass

  1. Visit http://accessnyt.com/
  2. Search for and select SUNY Geneseo
  3. Click the blue Go button and login using your Geneseo network credentials.
  4. Click the Create Account button
  5. Enter your geneseo.edu email address and a password, and uncheck the box to receive updates and offers
