Using College Archives materials in the classroom and research assignments

SUNY Geneseo’s “life” began in 1871 with the opening of the Geneseo Normal School. Throughout its 150+ years, it has evolved and been influenced by many forces and trends both local and national.

Research in the College Archives can not only help bring students to a greater awareness of how their experience here as students has been shaped, but can also help illuminate the parallels between the College’s history and that of higher education generally in the U.S. Please contact the special collections librarian to discuss ways to incorporate materials from the College Archives into your assignments and class projects.
