Founded in 1903, the American Political Science Association (APSA) is the leading professional organization for the study of political science and serves more than 11,000 members in more than 100 countries.

The International Studies Association is one of the oldest interdisciplinary associations dedicated to understanding international, transnational and global affairs. Founded in 1959, its more than 7,000 members span the globe – comprising academics, practitioners, policy experts, private sector workers and independent researchers, among others. The Association has long served as a central hub for the exchange of ideas and for networking and programmatic initiatives among those involved in the study, teaching and practice of International Studies.

Founded in 1987 following organizing efforts that date as far back as 1974, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Caucus (LGBTQ Caucus) is the principal association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people and allies within the American Political Science Association and an important arena for the presentation of research on sexual and gender diversity studies in political science and related disciplines. Members of the caucus come from the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, and several nations of the European Union. All academically affiliated social scientists, practitioner political scientists, and graduate students interested in the goals of the caucus are welcome to join.

The Asian Pacific American Caucus ("APAC," also known as the "Asian and Pacific Islander American Caucus") is a conference group of individuals who meet annually during professional meetings. Membership is free and open to all who share an interest in the teaching and learning of Asian Pacific American political affairs and community-based activism. Our members are typically affiliated with colleges and universities as faculty, staff, or graduate/undergraduate students. We also welcome partnership with community activists and organizational leaders.
